Uncommon old ballpark chrome!!!
On May 30, 1947, Zollner Stadium opened in Fort Wayne as home field to the World Champion Zollner Pistons softball team, and for a number of other uses, such as Holiday on Ice performances. In 1958, the stadium was sold to Concordia Lutheran High School, and it served as their football field for forty years, starting in 1962. It was torn down to be replaced by Fred Zollner Memorial Stadium.
