The stadium is a small Serrahima multipurpose stadium, specialized in athletics and athletes dedicated to Catalan Joan Serrahima . Located in the mountains of Montjuic in Barcelona and very near the neighborhood of Powder magazine . Where today are the stadium once it was Safont quarry where rock mined for construction of buildings in Barcelona.
The stadium was opened in 1969 and remodeled in 1983. Its opening was delayed because the platform collapsed, killing two workers.
Currently the park is managed by the Athletic Association Catalonia and there is headquartered Municipal School Athletics, is used by many athletes and schools.
