MEMORIAL STADIUM: Illinois Fighting Illini (NCAA) (1927-present) Chicago Bears (NFL) (2002-2003)
Memorial Stadium is a football stadium located in Champaign, Illinois, on the campus of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. The stadium is primarily used as the home of the University's football team.
In 2002, the stadium also hosted the NFL's Chicago Bears while Soldier Field was being renovated; thus the stadium hosted two famous orange-and-blue teams that season. The Bears' team colors had originally been inspired by the Illini's colors.
ASSEMBLY HALL: Assembly Hall is a large dome-shaped indoor arena located in Champaign, Illinois, and is part of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. The Hall hosts games for the Fighting Illini men's and women's basketball teams, and doubles as a performance and event center.
The third largest Illinois arena after the United Center in Chicago and the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Assembly Hall has just over 16,000 permanent seats, but when portable chairs are placed on the floor for an in-the-round performance there is a potential of up to 17,200 depending on the size of the stage.
