Dear Mom and Dad:

Well, I made it to Yankee Stadium.  It's not in pinstripes like I dreamed, but at least they gave me a uniform!  That's me in the lower left.  I just happened to be standing here when Mr. George Burke from C&S Sports Photos snapped this picture.  He's taking photos at all the major league ballparks this summer.  It's an hour before game time.  I'm getting ready to go to work pitching peanuts.  The Yankees are playing two games today against the White Sox.  We're in first place and I'll bet we win the pennant!  There's this new kid in center field, number 5.  His name is DiMaggio.  He's fast!  They said he will be a great player.  We have a new manager, too.  Everyone calls him Casey.  Hey, I got an autograph from Phil Rizzuto, my favorite player.  He's our shortstop and a real Cracker Jack.  I can't think of any other place I would rather be than at Yankee Stadium.  I can watch most of the games, usually.  Sometimes fans will tip me a dime!  I'm hoping we make it to the World Series so I can earn some extra money.  I'll be home after that.
