Wrigley Field may best be remembered for baseball, but many well-known prize fighters took "center ring" as well.  Six world title matches took place here, including Joe Louis vs. Jack Roper in 1939.  The ring was built on the infield, and it wasn't unusual for 21,000+ fans to turn out.
