Product Description

TARGET FIELD

2010-16

"Time begins on opening day," wrote legendary Washington Post sports columnist Thomas Boswell. And so it was this historic opening day, April 12, 2010, in Minneapolis. After years of delays, it was time for Twins baseball to return outdoors from the Metrodome. It's the bottom of the fourth, Twins first baseman Justin Morneau is batting, Jon Lester is on the mound, and the hometown nine leads the Red Sox, 4-1. Joe Mauer begins to lead off at first base. Moments before, reaching base on an infield single, Mauer gets an RBI as Denard Span scores his second run of the game. For the record, it's 65 degrees and partly cloudy, and the wind is variable at 10 mph.

Unused (3 1/2" x 5 1/2") postcard from a digital photo by Chris Nichol, Minneapolis, MN.
