Product Description

TARGET FIELD

2010-15

At 3:13 p.m. on Monday, April 12, 2010, cameras throughout Target Field are aimed at the Twins' Carl Pavano delivering the first pitch to Red Sox shortstop Marco Scutaro. The home team is decked out in 1961 jerseys, a throwback to the franchise's first season playing at The Met in suburban Bloomington (where The Mall of America is now). In 1982 the Twins moved to The Metrodome, which kept everyone sheltered from rain, wind and frost, but otherwise won't be missed. Pavano gives up two first-inning hits but escapes with no runs scored. At precisely 3:30 p.m. Orlando Hudson raps the Twins first hit. About six minutes later Denard Span scores the Twins' first run.

Unused (3 1/2" x 5 1/2") postcard from a digital photo by Chris Nichol, Minneapolis, MN.
