Product Description

STADE MUNICIPAL de QUEBEC

2010-05

Dating back to 1938, Stade Municipal has hosted professional Canadian teams as well as minor leagues extending across the border into the United States. It's located in Victoria park near the Nouvo St-Roch area downtown. The facility is owned by the city of Quebec and seats about 4,800. It was renovated in 1999 for the debut of Les Capitales de Quebec, members of the independent Can-Am League, at the cost of $1 million. During the 1970s Stade Municipal housed the Quebec Carnavals and the Quebec Metros, both Eastern League teams. A unique feature of the grandstand along the concourse is the presence of murals and paintings.
