PK PARK

Shared by the University of Oregon and the Emeralds of the Pacific Coast League (listing error, should read Short-Season A Northwest League), PK Park was completed in February 2010.  It replaced Civic Stadium, a 71-year-old wooden "everything creaks" - but it's cool" relic, where the Ems played since 1969.  PK Park seats 4,000, with picnic areas down both lines that can accommodate 400 more "for all-you-can-eat BBQs."  The park's most unique feature is its dirtless playing surface.  Outside of the clay pitching mound and batting circle, the entire playing surface is synthetic field turf, making PK Park the only stadium in pro baseball without at least dirt cut-outs for the bases.
