The stadium is 27 years old, making it seventh-oldest stadium in major-league baseball. Metrodome is the tenth oldest stadium in the National Football League. Common notable nicknames include The Dome, The Hefty Bag, The Roller Dome or the Triple H (HHH) Metrodome, and often nicknamed the Homerdome (even though in reality it is no easier to hit a home run than average). The stadium is well known for its fiberglass fabric roof that is self-supported by air-pressure. The Metrodome was also the first major sports facility to have a domed roof supported completely by air.

The Target Center is an arena in downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota. It is sponsored by Target Corporation. The center is home to the National Basketball Association's Minnesota Timberwolves. The Women's National Basketball Association's Minnesota Lynx also play in the arena. In 1996 it was home to the Arena Football League team Minnesota Fighting Pike. Through 1994–1996, it was home to the Minnesota Arctic Blast of RHI.

XCEL ENERGY CENTER: Minnesota Wild (NHL) (2000-present) Minnesota Swarm (NLL) (2005-present)

Xcel Energy Center (The X) is a multi-purpose arena located in Saint Paul, Minnesota, sponsored by Xcel Energy. It is home of the Minnesota Wild of the National Hockey League and the Minnesota Swarm of the National Lacrosse League.

The Xcel Energy Center opened in Fall 2000. It was built on the site of the demolished St. Paul Civic Center. In 2004, the arena was named by ESPN as the best overall sports venue in the U.S. The 10 millionth person passed the gates on July 3, 2007.
