Tri-City Valley Cats (2002-present)

Joseph L. Bruno Stadium is a stadium in North Greenbush, New York. It is primarily used for baseball and is the home field of the Tri-City Valley Cats minor league baseball team. Named after former New York State Senate majority leader and convicted felon Joseph Bruno, who secured the $14 million needed to construct the stadium, "The Joe" is situated on the campus of Hudson Valley Community College. Designed by Clough Harbour & Associates , it opened in 2002 and has a seating capacity of 4,500 people. The stadium can hold over 6,000 with the outfield berm, concourse, picnic pavilion, and luxury boxes.

In 2008, the ValleyCats set a new single-season attendance record of 140,631 fans. This is the fifth consecutive year that a new attendance milestone has been reached. On July 4 2008 The ValleyCats set a single game attendance record.

The ValleyCats, who just completed their sixth season in the Capital Region, have set attendance records in 2004 (110,497), 2005 (116,674), 2006 (129,126) and again in 2007 and 2008. The 'Cats have totaled over 100,000 fans to Joseph L. Bruno Stadium every season since their inception.

On August 19 "The Joe" hosted the 2008 New York-Penn League All-Star game, the fourth in league history. The game was won by the NL All-Stars with a walk off RBI by ValleyCats third baseman David Flores. This game was the second largest opening for "The Joe" in the 2008 season.
