Bingu National Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Lilongwe, Malawi. It is currently used mostly for football matches. The stadium has a capacity of 41,100. The stadium was officially opened on 28 January 2017 by His Excellency the state President of the Republic of Malawi Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika.The first match that took place at this stadium was between Nyasa Big Bullets FC and Be Forward Wanderers FC on 2 January 2017, a match that Wanderers won 2 - 1. It has state of the art sporting equipment that has never been used before in the sporting history of the country.Construction started in mid 2013, and it was completed in late 2015-2016.
