It's 2:50 on a pleasant, 65-degree afternoon - Monday, April 12, 2010. A capacity-plus crowd of 39,715 is standing for the unfurling of the American flag and singing of our National Anthem. After nearly 30 years, Major League baseball is returning to Minnesota's great outdoors, as the Twins host the Boston Red Sox for the official opening of Target Field. At 3:05 former Twins stars and local favorites Tony Olivia, Rod Carew, Kent Hrbek and Harmon Killebrew, along with Kirby Puckett Jr., will be greeted with cheers and applause - and some nostalgic tears. Earlier in the day, at 11:58 am., Kirby Jr. opened gate 34 (dad's uniform number) to let earlybird fans into the stadium.
