Estadio Manuel Martinez Valero is located in the city Spanish in Elche in Alicante, Spain. It is a sports arena that houses matches of the Elche CF, a team that is currently driving in the Liga Adelante (Spanish Second Division). Its name pays tribute to the late president of the club Elche, Manuel Martinez Valero. It hosted the largest rout in the finals of a World Cup and host the final of the Copa del Rey 2003. The Spanish football team has played several friendly meetings and officers. It has been a candidate to host the Cup final of the UEFA 2009. Expected if the joint bid is chosen for Spain and Portugal for the 2018 or 2022 FIFA World Cup where it would undertake a remodeling happen to house 45,000 to 60,000 spectators and thus become a stage of UEFA's elite category.

Martinez Valero Stadium was inaugurated on September 8, 1976, replacing the former Campo de Altabix, which was established in 1926. By the architect Juan Boix Matarredona, it is currently the largest sports arena in the province of Alicante. The opening match was Elche CF - Selection of Mexico, where he tied three.
